Cardboard boxes for cosmetics

Perfumes and cosmetics packaging requires particular aesthetic, "selling" appearance, allowing advertising the goods unique properties. To make the package attractive various methods used: hybrid printing technology, including metalized cardboard, UV- varnish, use of transparent windows, relief stamping, and various types of foil embossing, lamination.

Recently, metalized cardboard is especially popular in perfume and cosmetics industry, as this type of packaging can provide such "expensive" visual effect.

"Elite" lined cardboard mass, the most expensive, very hard and the brightest of all cardboard types, with the front surface whiteness of 90%. On this board full-color printing perfectly places. The thickness of the board is 0.3-1.5 mm, density is 185-390 g / sq.m.

Cardboard with wood pulp addition is cheaper, it is “chrome-ersatz”or “boxboard”. It is thinner than cellulosic paperboard (0.25-0.6 mm) but weighs more (the density of chromium-ersatz 200-340 g / sq.m.). Boxboard is hard enough to protect the goods from strikes. Good stiffness properties, relatively low cost are the reasons for chromium-ersatz to be of greatest demand of all cardboard types. Chrome-ersatz cardboard has three-layer structure, the top layer of bleached chemical pulp, the wood pulp in the middle. Such a board, usually two-sided and the upper and lower layer can be covered with white. Chrome-ersatz cardboard is the packaging for cosmetics, toilet water, cologne, hair dye, expensive cigarettes; in short, it is actively used in same fields as the pure cellulose paperboard. Chrome-ersatz has good printing properties, and the completion of the process it can be done matt or glossy.

To get a unique design original brand packaging for expensive perfume, cardboard is covered first with Koalin paste. It can be two, three or one Kaolin layers. The box becomes glossy, colored. Full color printing starts after chalking. And at the end of the process, the box top is often varnished.
